SINGLE ROLLER CONE BIT
SINGLE ROLLER CONE BIT
Single Cone Roller Bit 牙轮钻头 is designed for use in medium to hard rock formations, including granite, limestone, dolomite, and gravel. It is well-suited for formations with compressive strengths ranging from 80 to 150 MPa, making it ideal for drilling in medium to low abrasive formations that exhibit strong homogeneity.
Special Features:
- IADC Code: 637 (indicating hard formation with conical inserts).
- Bearing Type: Journal bearing for improved durability in demanding drilling conditions.
- Sealing Mechanism: O-ring sealing for enhanced protection against debris and wear.
- Cutting Structure: Conical inserts designed for optimal penetration and durability.
- Number of Rows/Cutters: 7 rows with 52 cutters for efficient material removal.
- Shirttail/Lug Protection: Carbide welding and additional inserts to minimize wear during operation.
- Crushing Width: 113–118 mm for effective rock fracturing.
Recommended Operating Parameters:
-
Weight on Bit (WOB):
- Medium Hard Formations (50–100 MPa): 20–30 tonnes.
- Hard Formations (80–150 MPa): 20–35 tonnes.
-
Rotation Speed (RPM):
-
Medium Hard Formations:
- 0.8–1.5 m depth: 12–16 RPM
- 1.5–2.0 m depth: 10–12 RPM
- 2.0–2.5 m depth: 6–10 RPM
- 2.5–2.8 m depth: 3–6 RPM
-
Hard Formations:
- 0.8–1.5 m depth: 10–12 RPM
- 1.5–2.0 m depth: 8–10 RPM
- 2.0–2.5 m depth: 5–8 RPM
- 2.5–2.8 m depth: 2–5 RPM
-
Medium Hard Formations:
Additional Notes:
- Rated pull-down force for single cone bits: 5–7 tonnes per cone (for effective operation and tool longevity).
- Optimal rotation speed ranges from 60–100 RPM, adjusted based on hole diameter and formation hardness.
- For larger hole diameters, lower RPM is recommended to maintain drilling efficiency.
